Do what thou Wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

So much has already been written about astrology that it is unnecessary to further elaborate on the subject for purposes of this book. Rather, we refer you to the following sources for information to assist your Work on this important subject.

First, there is Skye Alexander’s book entitled “Magickal Astrology”. This is an excellent source, especially for the newcomer, which is written in simple, easy to understand terms. Skye’s book approaches the subject from more of an “Earth Magick” or “Lunar Magick” perspective, which makes it particularly helpful for Children of the First Order.

Second, there is book authored by Aleister Crowley with Evangeline Adams entitled “The General Principles of Astrology”. This is a treatise of sorts on the subject, which provides a great deal of information from more of a “Solar Magick” perspective. For this reason, it is recommended to those Children who are ascending to, and are members of, the Second Order.

Third, there is Aleister Crowley’s book entitled “777”, which is (among other things) an excellent book of correspondences for every magickal practitioner.

Of course, there are many other books addressing astrology. Review those which you are so moved to review. Read, study, learn and enjoy.

You may find it helpful in your work to obtain an ephemeris, which is a book showing the movement of the planets through the heavens in your geographic area. In this regard, you are referred to Jim Maynard’s “Celestial Guide” which is issued new each calendar year.

You are encouraged to study astrology, not so much for purposes of divination, but to assist you in coming to learn about and experience the energies we have to work with in our Holy Rites. “Geographic astrology” assists you in tuning into the more Universal energies of the Magickal Day. The Astrology or Magickal Formulae of the Sphere and the Natal Crown are, however, the true subjects, which are of the utmost importance in the Practice of the Royal Art and Science of Magick.

Turn your Eye to God, ask for instruction in astrology and it will come.

In closing, it should be noted that, perhaps, the most exalted book on astrology is the Tarot itself, which is a complete book of magickal instruction thoroughly covering the subject of astrology. The Mysteries of the Tarot may be “unlocked” using the “keys” to Initiation which are described in other papers issued by the Sanctuary included in this book.

May you learn of the Astrological Formulae of the Sphere and the Magickal Planes, and ascend the Planes as your Natal Crown is Illumined by the Hand and to the Glory of God. Amen.
