Do what thou Wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

In the Practices of the Sanctuary, We speak of a number of different Hexagrams, all of which are of a different Nature and all of which are to be explored in an Aspirant’s Travels along the Royal Road of Initiation.

There are the Yitziratic Hexagrams, which correspond to the Planets and are used to Work with the Sephiroth and Paths on the Yitziratic Tree of Life.

There is the Heavenly Hexagram, which forms the floor of the upper astral, or Solar Plane. This is not traced or projected. It shows the organization of the Solar Plane, yea the Great Order of the Universe from the perspective of this Plane.

There is also the Star Sapphire, which, in the Practices of the Sanctuary, is a special Hexagram projected (not traced) by the Childe of Chesed charged with the Serpent Power emanating from Chesed (which precedes and moves the Mars Force). By the time these Skills are developed, the Childe naturally will be Working on the Solar Plane.

Here, We speak of the Holy Hexagram, which is beheld as a Unicursal Hexagram and has correspondences to:

· the Sun and Moon, and the Male and Female aspects of the Universe;

· the Four Worlds of Atziluth, Briah, Yitzirah and Assiah;

· the Four Holy Letters of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH), and the Father, the Mother, the Son and the Daughter;

· the Four Elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth; and

· Spirit, as the Sun and Moon beheld as One, showing forth the Yechidah, which is the Universal Soul emanating from Kether.

The correspondences attributable to each point of the Holy Hexagram are as follows:

· Top point – The Sun and Male Aspects of the Universe.

· Top right point – Briah, the Mother, and the Element of Water.

· Bottom right point – Atziluth, the Father, and the Element of Fire.

· Bottom point – The Moon and Female Aspects of the Universe.

· Bottom left point – Assiah, the Daughter and the Element of Earth.

· Top left point – Yitzirah, the Son and the Element of Air.

In the practices of the Sanctuary, the Holy Hexagram is always traced or projected to invoke, and never to banish (for there is no need to banish what is invoked when using this Hexagram). To invoke a particular current using the Holy Hexagram, you begin at the corresponding point of the Hexagram and move deosil/clockwise in tracing the remainder of the Unicursal Hexagram.

We offer below a Rite to Work with the Holy Hexagram. This Rite is Universal in Nature. It serves as an Invocation of the Holy Guardian Angel and a Rite to Commune with the Divine. It is something which an Aspirant may rightly begin Working with at any phase of the Aspirant’s Magickal Career, whether as a Member of the First Order or the Second Order. The formula of the Rite is Macrocosmic in Nature. Accordingly, it is something for the Evolving Adept to regularly use, as instructed and moved by the Holy Guardian Angel. It is also something for the Childe of Chesed to Work with on the Solar Plane as the Childe is taught how to project the Star Sapphire and the Serpent Power in furtherance of the Great Work of Evolving the Virgin Daughter within.

Initially, the Rite should be performed using the Zodiacal elemental formula, with the Zodiacal belt initially established about the Sphere, yea the Magick Circle, with Aries in the East. Therefore, the Zodiacal belt around the Magick Circle would proceed as follows:

· Aires/Fire is in the East;

· Cancer/Water is in the North;

· Libra/Air is in the West; and

· Capricorn/Earth is in the South.

The Sun and Moon are beheld in the center of the Magick Circle (i.e., the place of Spirit), as Each shows forth the Other as One, and He shines in Her, by an Expression of the Love of Nu.

When the Aspirant attains to the Solar Plane, the Zodiacal belt spins, so Leo is in the East (as “Regulus”), but the elemental formula is no longer determined by the Zodiacal belt. Instead, the elemental formula of the Solar Plane is as follows:

· Fire in the South;

· Water in the East;

· Air in the North; and

· Earth in the West (which is the direction the Childe will be facing at the “Foot of the Altar” from a Second Order perspective, yea in the direction of Amentet).

Remember Childe, thy Vessel is like the Wand of Prometheus, which must be hallowed and made hollow in the center. Each step you rightly along the Royal Road unlocks another level within the Wand in Ascending so that, eventually, once all levels are unlocked, the Wand is completely hollow allowing the Fire of God to run through (top-down) unimpeded.

You will also note that the NOX signs are used in the Rite given below. These are particularly important to the Work following the Work of the Childe of Tiphareth (where the focus is on the LVX signs). The NOX signs are performed about the perimeter of the Magick Circle, thus invoking Nuit. To contrast, the LVX signs are generally performed in the center of the Magick Circle, thus invoking Hadit and the Invisible Sun of Kether which is the Secret Center shining forth the Light of the Sun. When using the NOX signs, the Aspirant Ascends to Higher Planes by “withdrawing” from the material plane to the Magickal Plane of the Working. Working with all of these Magickal Signs early in your Magickal Career will further your Initiation Process, but take care to remain ever so rightly focused on your current Magickal Oaths and tasks, using more advanced workings to further you current Work. Your Eye will gain new perspective each Step along the Royal Road, so this Rite will take on new meaning, and provide new insights, as you proceed through the First and Second Orders.

The Holy Hexagram Ritual

· At the Foot of the Altar (from your perspective):

o Illumine the Natal Crown as you know how, best by performing the Ritual of the Crown.

§ Proceed once the Light of the Crown is beheld and the connection with the Divine has been established.

o Make the Sign of Nuit (hands open in crescent over head with finger-tips overlapping), and say – “NUIT”.

o Make the Sign of Hadit (hands lowered to touch the heart center while finger-tips still overlapping, palms towards body), and say “HADIT.

o Make the Sign of Victory (of the Childe), and say “HERU-RA-HA”.

o Lower your hands into Praying Position (palms together with thumbs touching the chest and the fingers pointed to the chin), and say - “AMEN”.

o Now see, yea formulate, the Yitziratic Hexagram on the floor of your Sphere.

· The Invocations using the Holy Hexagrams:

o Proceed to the East -

§ Trace the Holy Hexagram of Fire, and charge it in the Name “ARARITA”.

o Proceed to the North:

§ Trace the Holy Hexagram of Water, and charge it in the Name “ARARITA”.

o Proceed to the West:

§ Trace the Holy Hexagram of Air, and charge it in the Name “ARARITA”.

o Proceed to the South:

§ Trace the Holy Hexagram of Earth, and charge it in the Name “ARARITA”.

o Proceed past the East to complete your Magick Circle, and move West of the Altar facing East.

§ Trace the Holy Hexagram of the Sun over the Altar, and charge it in the Name “ARARITA”.

o Move widdershins around the Altar so you are East of the Altar facing West. (This is the Foot of the Altar from a Second Order perspective.)

§ Trace the Holy Hexagram of the Moon over the Altar, and charge it in the Name “ARARITA”.

· See the Holy Hexagrams of the Sun and Moon combine over the Altar and transform into a third thing showing forth the Glory of all of your Invocations, and shining with the Light of Hadit.

· Having invoked Hadit, invoke Nuit by making the NOX signs about the perimeter of your Magick Circle as follows:

o N – Move to the West, and make the Sign of Puer (also known as the Sign of the Boy or Son) facing out.

o O – Circumambulate widdershins to the East, and make the Sign of Vir (also known as the Sign of Pater or the Father) facing out.

o X – Circumambulate widdershins to the North, and make the Sign of Mulier (also known as the Sign of the Mother) facing out.

o Circumambulate widdershins to the South, and make the Sign of Puella (also know as the Sign of the Virgin Daughter) facing out.

§ Take note that this movement creates a Cross within your Magick Circle, with the bars drawn West to East (establishing the horizontal plane), and North to South (establishing the vertical plane).

§ Always remember to connect the Circle to the Cross. This formula is fulfilled by this Rite.

o Move widdershins past the East, and return to the Foot of the Altar in the East facing West.

§ Complete the NOX formula by making the Sign of Mater Triumphant (also known as the Sign of the Mother Triumphant with Childe).

§ As you do so, Rise Childe in that Sign by withdrawing into the Interior of the Universe, yea into the Womb of the Goddess.

· When you have arrived at your destination, determined by the Hand of God, stop and Keep Silence.

o Receive instruction, absorb the experience and give thanks.

o Remember always to be humble.

· When you are done, make the Sign Silence and, in that Sign, descend back to the world of man.

· Go forth transformed by your Holy Work.

This Rite will assist a Childe in establishing the presidency of the Hexagram over the Pentagram, which is a Task for the evolving Adept.

To Work with this Ritual on the Solar Plane, simply formulate the Heavenly Hexagram on the floor of your Sphere, adjust the elemental correspondences to the formula of the Solar Plane, and begin your invocations with Fire in the South. However, on the Solar Plane, no words are spoken. Rather, all is done in the Silent Speech. Further, as a Childe of Chesed, you project the Star Sapphire. When completing the Work of the Childe of Chesed (thus having Become the Virgin Daughter), look for Supernal Triangle on the ceiling your Sphere and rise through it when making the Sign of Mater Triumphant AND in the Essence of the Mother, thereby Becoming the Mother. We thus see the NOX signs used in evolution to provide a Magickal Formula for “Crossing the Abyss”, and arriving at the City of the Pyramids where NEMO, yea no man, dwells. We further see here evolution of the Childe in the context of the Formula of the Tetragrammaton, which brings the Childe to the Holy Third Order and the Briatic Plane, where evolution in accordance with the Formula of the Tetragrammaton will continue.
