Do what thou Wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

We now speak of a method of Working with any Star or Symbol, which represents a Force to be invoked and equilibrated, to assist thee Childe in your Magickal, Spiritual and Material Evolution.

In the Scroll of the Ritual of the Stars, and the Guide to the Oaths of Initiation, is given a Table of Stars and Symbols to be explored by Aspirants in their Journey along the Royal Road of Initiation. It is important on your Journey that you investigate all aspects relevant to each Step along the Royal Road, taking care to investigate each of these Stars and Symbols, so each Step may be taken rightly.

When investigating any Star or Symbol, simply invoke it. Do so by Erecting Magickal Space, and then fixing your concentration on the Star or Symbol which is the subject of your Work. Alternatively, simply mediate upon it, concentrating earnestly and completely on it. Explore the Nature of the Star or Symbol. How does this Force act upon thee Childe? What is its purpose and function in the Great Order of the Universe? Ask these questions during the course of your Working, whether it be ceremonial/Magickal or meditative/Mystickal.

The combination of Ceremonial Workings with meditation in your Magick Circles allows a pure current to be initiated in your invocations, so the Nature of the Force may be revealed to you. Consider that you never leave your True Magick Circle, which is your Sphere of Influence. Therefore, your invocations will continue to have influence upon your Sphere following your Workings. Keep your Eye fixed upon your Work, in and out of the Physical Temple. Balance, yea equilibrate the Force invoked within your Sphere, so it may be rightly assimilated into your Starry Structure which furthers your Initiation and Evolution.

You may create talismans to represent the Force invoked. However, you are the True Talisman which is the subject of your Workings. Any physical thing is merely a symbol which assists your concentration.

In early Adepthood, a method of Working known as the Spiral Dance is taught. Foreshadowing of this is shown in the early acts of Circumambulation in First Order Rites, and the Formula of the Neophyte which is used to charge an inert thing to place it into Spiritual Action. Consider, in this regard, how We use physical movement in Ceremonial Workings to assist the Childe in “climbing” up the Planes and to invoke. Further, consider the direction of the movement, whether it be deosil/clockwise or widdershins/counter-clockwise. Depending on the Formulae of your Rites, the direction you move serves different functions. For example, when using a traditional Pentagram Formulae to organize the elements within your Sphere, the movement is generally deosil to invoke, and widdershins to banish. However, when using the Thelemic Pentagram formulae, the movement is opposite – widdershins to invoke and deosil to banish. These distinctions become less important as the Childe evolves. However, they are helpful when evolving through the First Order and into the Second Order.

Your Magick Circle is your Sphere. This is unique in perspective yet an indivisible part of the Universe. It is replica of the Great Circle of the Universe, the Circumference of which is beheld as Nuit. Extend your Sphere to the Plane of your Working which is the focus of your Eye. Envision the Star or Symbol which you are invoking. Call the Holy Names corresponding with the Star or Symbol. See it before you in proper coloration. Step into the Star or Symbol (or, better yet, spin into it), feeling its Force within you. Then speak with the Holy Names you have invoked, or your Holy Guardian Angel, about the Star or Symbol, asking any questions you may have. Always remember the Magickal Formula is to invoke, equilibrate and evolve.

Working with any single Star or Symbol will assist thee in experiencing the Nature of the Force invoked.

Now consider how certain Stars, although representing a particular Force, are actually comprised of a combination of Forces. Let us consider, in this current of thought, first the Yitziratic Hexagram (which is of the lower astral plane) and then the Heavenly Hexagram (which is of the upper astral, or Solar, plane). Each of these Hexagrams may be drawn on the Tree of Life. Each Hexagram is composed of two triangles. At the corners of each triangle is placed an Alchemical Symbol or “Marker” (as commonly called in the parlance of the Sanctuary). Alchemical Mercury is always placed at the points of each triangle corresponding with the Middle Pillar on the Tree of Life. Alchemical Salt and Alchemical Sulphur are placed on the other points, corresponding with how the elements of Fire and Water reflect down the Tree of Life. In this regard, the Middle Pillar always corresponds with the element of Air. However, Fire and Water reflect down the Tree of Life, commencing with Chokmah as Fire and Binah as Water, and then switch spots at Chesed and Geburah and again at Netzach and Hod. Thus, we see the placement of the Alchemical Markers as follows:

· When the point of a triangle touches Chokmah (Fire), Alchemical Sulphur is placed there.

· When the point of a triangle touches Binah (Water), Alchemical Salt is placed there.

· When the point of a triangle touches Chesed (Water), Alchemical Salt is placed there.

· When the point of a triangle touches Geburah (Fire), Alchemical Sulphur is placed there.

· When the point of a triangle touches Netzach (Fire), Alchemical Sulphur is placed there.

· When the point of a triangle touches Hod (Water), Alchemical Salt is placed there.

Again, when the point of a triangle touches Kether, Tiphareth (in the case of the Heavenly Hexagram) or Yesod, Alchemical Mercury is placed there.

To be initiated into the Yitziratic Hexagram (which is an Aspirant’s first Order of business when working with any of the Hexagrams), it is necessary to first Work with the component parts of the Hexagram. To begin to do this, let us first consider the arrangement of the Temple.

From a First Order perspective, the Altar is placed in the center of the Magick Circle, and the Childe stands west of the Altar, facing east. (This is the “Foot of the Altar” from a First Order perspective.) The Hexagram is formulated on the floor of your Magick Circle. Therefore, Being at the Foot of the Altar, Yesod is placed at the western cardinal point, in the place where the Middle Pillar of the Tree of Life intersects the circumference of your Magick Circle. This shows the Apex of the Red Descending Triangle of Ra-Hoor-Khuit, which is the first visible triad beheld by the Childe. The second visible triad to the Childe is the Blue Ascending Triangle of Nuit. This Blue Ascending Triangle has its Apex at the eastern cardinal point, in the place where the Middle Pillar on the Tree of Life intersects the circumference of your Magick Circle.

The Yitziratic Hexagram now fully formulated, the Alchemical Markers and Sephiroth attributable to the Hexagram assume their corresponding places about the points of the Hexagram and your Magick Circle. Your Altar is now beheld to be in the center of the Hexagram, which is the Place of Tiphareth and the Sun, yea the focus of the Childe’s Aspiration when Working through the First Order.

We now offer a Ritual to Work with the Alchemical Markers attributable to Blue Ascending Triangle of Nuit, using the Spiral Dance.

Opening Invocation of Nuit

· Move to the Foot of the Altar.

· Formulate your Sphere about you.

o As you do so, invoke Nuit by saying:

Hadit!

Manifest Brightly.

Show forth the Glory of Nuit.

O’ My Mother, My Lover, the One I Adore, I call to Thee.

Send forth Thy Love. Wash me. Take me.

Abide strongly within me. May your Love and Light shine through me.

O’ My Star Goddess, refine me, hone me, move me ever so rightly,

as I am humbly in Thy service.

I, Thy Childe, seek Thy Aid.

O’ My Beautiful, with a reverent, devoted and loving heart,

show me the Way. How may I serve Thee?

Open my Eye to Thy Glory and my Work.

O’ My Mistress, who Loves All, let me partake of the Sacrament of Thy Holy Kisses and Thy Wisdom.

Empower, bless and protect my Work in all Ways

so that I may, at long last, attain to Thy Infinite Love and Timely Return unto Thee.

O’ My Lady of the Stars, who abides in All, I yearn to experience Thee and Thy Embrace.

Thou art present, yet I aspire to behold Thee most fully. Inspire me, lift-me up in Thy Womb,

let me behold Thee and Thy Holy Living Creatures and Beings of all Planes, assist me along the Royal Way.

O’ Nuit, Nuit, Nuit, I call Thee by Thy Name, I behold Thy Many Holy Names,

open the Mystery of Thy Creation unto me,

assist me in remembering my Starry Heritage, so that I may evolve to Thy Glory.

O’ Nu, Nut, Nuith, Thy Permutations are many but Thou art ever One.

Thou art One and None. Thou art the Beginning and the End. Thou art in me, and I in Thee.

Manifest now strongly within me, and let our Union be Pure and Perfect.

I adore Thee and I invoke Thee my Beloved.

I speak Thy Sweet Words, you move my lips.

I offer humbly my Breath in service of Thy Holy Joyous Names.

Aid me now in this Great Work.

The Opening of the Magick Circle

· Move to the northeast perimeter of your Magick Circle.

· You will now circumambulate three times deosil around the perimeter of your Magick Circle while performing the Spiral Dance.

o Although your movement around the perimeter of your Magick Circle will be deosil, you will simultaneously spin widdershins while walking deosil.

o You will find that this movement is quite powerful, and will raise a great deal of energy within your Sphere while at the same time casting out any dross of the world of man.

o While you are engaging in the Spiral Dance to cast your Magick Circle, Be Joyous and allow your Heart to be cleansed by the Love of Nu. Remember – the Priests of Ra Go forth cleansing their Hearts laughter. This attitude towards the Great Work will further success.

o While circumambulating, see your Magick Circle formulating according to the Zodiacal elemental formula, with Fire in the East, Earth in the South, Air in the West and Water in the North.

o See the Yitziratic Hexagram formulating the floor of your Sphere, and gaining energy. Strengthen your Magick Circle with each step of your Spiral Dance, seeing the forces organizing according to the formulae of your Rite.

· After completing three full circles (passing east four times), thus casting your Magick Circle thrice about without any further activity and climbing up the Planes on the Yitziratic Tree of Life (as you know how), return to the Foot of the Altar.

· Behold your Magick Circle properly organized on an elemental basis, and the Yitziratic Hexagram on the floor of your Sphere.

· Acknowledge that your consciousness has been elevated to the Kether of the Yitziratic Tree of Life, yea of Yitzirah.

· Also acknowledge that all Magickal Powers are expressed by God, and are revealed to the Childe only by the Hand of God, by opening your Eye unto Them.

o It is of the utmost importance for you to realize that the powers are not yours, but are those of God Being expressed through you.

o The process is always “top-down” in the Expression of Current.

o From the Childe’s perspective, We work from the highest plane which can be perceived by the Childe by right focus of the Eye.

Working with the Alchemical Markers

When you are ready, proceed as follows:

Initial Invocation of Tahuti and Alchemical Mercury:

· Move to the eastern perimeter of your Magick Circle, to the point in the far-east where the top point of the Hexagram intersects with the circumference of your Magick Circle.

· Formulate the Symbol of Alchemical Mercury at the point where you stand, so you stand in the Symbol.

· Invoke Tahuti saying:

Hail Tahuti, Great Scribe, Magician and Messenger of the Gods,

The Lord of Wisdom and of the Utterance,

The God who cometh forth from the Veil,

I call Thee, Thou of the Ibis Head and the Phoenix Wand,

Who stands in Splendor at the Prow of the Bark of Ra,

Tongue of Ra, who expresses the Word.

I invoke Thee for aid in the Great Work!

Assist me now in invoking Alchemical Mercury.

· Assume the God-Form of Tahuti, as best you know how.

· As Tahuti, spin three times deosil into the Symbol, establishing Alchemical Mercury where you stand.

· Feel the Alchemical Mercury run through you and the Brilliance of your Communion with Tahuti.

· When you are ready to move on, release the Symbol within your body, and then the God-Form of Tahuti, but leave both the Alchemical Marker and God-Form of Tahuti where you stood.

Invocation of Hoor and Alchemical Sulphur:

· Now move in a straight line to the south-west point of the Hexagram corresponding with Alchemical Sulphur and Netzach/Venus.

· Formulate the Symbol of Alchemical Sulphur at the point where you stand, so you stand in the Symbol.

· Invoke Hoor by saying:

O Hoor, God of Might,

Whose left Eye was injured in battle and healed by Isis,

Who fights for the renewal of mankind in service of the Most High,

I take Thy Form, manifest now within me,

Aid me now in invoking Alchemical Sulphur.

· Assume the God-Form of Hoor, yea even of Hoor-Apep, as best you know how.

· As Hoor, spin three times deosil into the Symbol, establishing Alchemical Sulphur where you stand.

· Feel the Alchemical Sulphur run through you and the Fiery Nature of your Communion with Hoor.

· When you are ready to move on, release the Symbol within your body, and then the God-Form of Hoor, but leave both the Alchemical Marker and God-Form of Hoor where you stood.

Invocation of Isis and Alchemical Salt:

· Now move in a straight line to the north-west point of the Hexagram corresponding with Alchemical Salt and Hod/Mercury.

· Formulate the Symbol of Alchemical Salt at the point where you stand, so you stand in the Symbol.

· Invoke Isis by saying:

I call Thee Isis, Great Mother of All,

Who gives birth to the heavens and the earth,

Queen of the Throne in the City of Pyramids,

Who stands on the Solar Bark with arms outstretched,

giving Thy Love to all of Creation,

Come to me for I am in need of Thy aid.

Assist me now in invoking Alchemical Salt.

· Assume the God-Form of Isis, as best you know how.

· As Isis, spin three times deosil into the Symbol, establishing Alchemical Salt where you stand.

· Feel the Alchemical Salt run through you and the Loving Nature of your Communion with Isis.

· When you are ready to move on, release the Symbol within your body, and then the God-Form of Isis, but leave both the Alchemical Marker and God-Form of Isis where you stood.

The Completion of the Pyramid:

· Now move in a straight line to the eastern perimeter of your Magick Circle, to the point in the far-east where the top point of the Hexagram intersects with the circumference of your Magick Circle.

· Spin three times deosil into the Symbol of Alchemical Mercury, assuming the God-Form of Tahuti previously invoked in the process.

· Face west where you stand, and declare as Tahuti:

Behold the Pyramid,

Rightly erected!

Behold the Blue Triangle of Nuit!

Show forth now the Red Triangle of Ra-Hoor-Khuit!

· When you are ready to move on, release the Symbol within your body, and then the God-Form of Tahuti, but leave both the Alchemical Marker and the God-Form of Tahuti where you stood.

· Move to the Foot of the Altar.

The Invocation of Ra:

· At the Foot of the Altar, invoke Ra by saying:

- Hail to you, having come as Kephra, even Kephra who is the Creator of the Gods.

- You rise and shine on the Back of your Mother, having appeared in Glory as the King of the Gods.

- Your Mother, Nuit, shall use Her arms on your behalf in making greeting.

- May you give power and might in vindication – in the coming forth of this living soul – to the Ka of this Childe.

- The Eye has opened unto Thee, I see Thee in Thy Bark, with Horus at the helm, and Thoth and Maat beside Him,

- I invoke Thee, Lord of the Circles, the Sender-forth of Light, who governs His Circles, the Great God Ra!

· Assume the God-Form of Ra, as best you know how.

· As Ra, spin three times deosil at the Foot of the Altar, further establishing the Hexagram in your Magick Circle, and declare (when done spinning):

Let this Childe be duly Initiated into the Alchemical Principles

of Mercury, Sulphur and Salt.

Let the Hexagrams shine forth within this Magick Circle,

and within this Childe, to aid this Childe in further Evolving

as a Source of Light and Love of the Most High.

Unto Thee Nu!

So mote it be!!!

· Take a moment to acknowledge the Gods about your Magick Circle, and Forces you have invoked.

· See the Alchemical Markers, focusing mainly on those invoked on the Blue Triangle of Nuit.

· See the Red Triangle of Ra-Hoor-Khuit appear, which shines forth as a response to your Invocations.

· Behold the Six-Fold Star!

Invoke, Equilibrate and Evolve:

· Take time to equilibrate your Magick Circle, and the energies which have been raised therein.

· Explore the Nature and Powers of your Invocations.

· Look around your Magick Circle, strengthening it with every glance of the Eye, reinforcing the Forces invoked and their positions about your Magick Circle with every movement.

· Listen to what you are receiving for instruction.

· When you are done with your Magickal Work, proceed to close.

Closing:

· Move to the south-east perimeter of your Magick Circle.

· You will now circumambulate three times widdershins around the perimeter of your Magick Circle while performing the Spiral Dance.

o Although your movement around the perimeter of your Magick Circle will be widdershins, you will simultaneously spin deosil while walking widdershins.

o You will find that this movement is quite powerful, and cleansing.

o While you are engaging in the Spiral Dance once again, remember to Be Joyous and allow your Heart to be cleansed by the Love of Nu.

o While circumambulating, acknowledge the Zodiacal elemental formula, with Fire in the East, Water in the North, Air in the West and Earth in the South.

o Walk down the Planes, as you know how, returning to the world of man.

· After completing three full circles (passing the eastern cardinal point four times), return to the Foot of the Altar.

· Give a License to Depart as follows, releasing all God-Forms in the process:

All Spirits heretofore called,

Ere Ye depart unto your Pleasant Realms and Abodes.

May there be Peace between Us.

May the Blessings of the Most High be upon Thee.

My blessings are with Thee.

And do Thee come again when Ye are so invoked and called.

· Make the Sign of Silence, vibrating the Name “Hoor-Pa-Kraat” while inhaling, drawing all to a luminous point within.

· Release the energies you have raised during your Rite with your exhalation, sending them back into the Universe.

· Go forth transformed into the world of man.

Working with the Yitziratic Hexagrams

To work with any of the Yitziratic Hexagrams, rather than the Alchemical Markers, consider structuring a Rite as follows:

· Make the “Opening Invocation of Nuit” as set forth above.

· Performing the “Opening of the Magick Circle” as set forth above using the Spiral Dance method.

· From the Foot of the Altar, make an Invocation to the God corresponding with the Hexagram you are exploring.

o You are encouraged to use the Invocations given on the Sanctuary’s website for this purpose.

· Assume the Form of the God invoked, as best you know how.

· In the God-Form, trace over the Altar the Hexagram which is the subject of the Working (in proper coloration), with the corresponding planetary sigil in the center of the Hexagram.

o Hexagrams are traced in the corresponding Queen color, and filled with energy in the corresponding King color.

o This being said, the planetary sigil should be traced in the corresponding King color.

· Charge the Hexagram by calling the Divine Hierarchy attributable to the corresponding Sephira and Planet.

· Enlarge the charged Hexagram and move it so you stand in the center of it at the Foot of the Altar.

· Spin three times deosil into the Star and Symbol, while remaining in the God-Form.

· Take a moment to acknowledge your Invocations and the Forces you have invoked.

· See the Hexagram on the floor of your Magick Circle, and let it be changed by your Invocations to show forth the Hexagram traced and invoked.

· Explore the Nature and Powers of the Forces invoked.

o Ask any questions you have, and listen for instruction.

· Invoke, equilibrate, and evolve.

· When you are done, perform the “Closing” as set forth above using the Spiral Dance method, taking care to give a License to Depart and end all in the Sign of Silence.

Working with any other Star or Symbol

Any other Star or Symbol may be similarly invoked, as described above with respect to the Yitziratic Hexagrams, to assist thee Childe in your Great Work. Other examples of how you may structure your Rites follow.

Invoking Thoth:

· Make the “Opening Invocation of Nuit” as set forth above.

· Performing the “Opening of the Magick Circle” as set forth above using the Spiral Dance method.

· From the Foot of the Altar, make an Invocation to the God Thoth, as follows:

Hail Thoth, Great Scribe, Magician and Messenger of the Gods,

The Lord of Wisdom and of the Utterance,

The God who cometh forth from the Veil,

I call Thee, Thou of the Ibis Head and the Phoenix Wand,

Master of Laws who interprets writings, whose Word establishes the Two Lands,

Favored of Ra, Lord of Strength, Great in Magick in the Bark of Millions of Years,

whose Power protects She who bore Him, who gets rid of noise and quells uproars,

who does what Ra in His Shrine approves,

Let us Unite so I may emulate Thy Wisdom and Splendor.

· Make the Sign of Victory (also called the Sign of Triumph), showing dominion over Typhon, the vanquished dragon of ignorance and perversion.

· In the God-Form of Thoth, trace over the Altar the Star or Symbol which is the subject of the Working (in proper coloration).

o Enlarge the Star or Symbol and move it so you stand in it at the Foot of the Altar.

· Remaining in the God-Form of Thoth, spin three times deosil into the Star and Symbol, embodying the Force invoked.

· Take a moment to acknowledge your Invocations and the Forces you have invoked.

· Explore the Nature and Powers of the Forces invoked.

o Ask any questions you have, and listen for instruction.

· Invoke, equilibrate, and evolve.

· When you are done, perform the “Closing” as set forth above using the Spiral Dance method, taking care to give a License to Depart and end all in the Sign of Silence.

Enochian Working Method:

In lieu of an Invocation of any particular God, if you are so inclined towards Enochian Magick (and are well versed therein before using it ceremonially in any way), you could structure a Rite as follows:

· Performing the “Opening of the Magick Circle” as set forth above using the Spiral Dance method.

· From the Foot of the Altar, make the Call of the Second Angelic Key.

o This commences with “ADGT UPAAH ZONG OM FFAIP SALD” meaning “Can the wings of the winds understand your voices of wonder.”

o Upon completing the Call of the Second Angelic Key, invoke the Archangelic Name “PAOAOAN”.

o This will make you completely receptive to Spiritual Force.

o Take care to keep your ever Eye focused on the Love of Nu. This is especially important when performing Enochian Magick, which is extremely powerful.

o Trace over the Altar the Star or Symbol which is the subject of the Working (in proper coloration).

o Enlarge the Star or Symbol and move it so you stand in it at the Foot of the Altar.

· Spin three times deosil into the Star and Symbol, embodying the Force invoked.

· Take a moment to acknowledge your Invocations and the Forces you have invoked.

· Explore the Nature and Powers of the Forces invoked.

o Ask any questions you have, and listen for instruction.

· Invoke, equilibrate, and evolve.

· When you are done, perform the “Closing” as set forth above using the Spiral Dance method, taking care to give a License to Depart and end all in the Sign of Silence.
