Do what thou Wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Who do we listen to in seeking spiritual guidance? Do we go to the local father, priest, rabbi or minister? Or should we simply look within our Self?

What is the purpose of all this ceremonial magick we practice and preach at the Sanctuary? The answer is that it prepares the Sphere of the Aspirant to receive.

There is great Wisdom and Mystery in the old adage – “Ask and you shall receive.”

When you have questions, ask them to your Self as clearly and succinctly as possible, and stop and listen for the answers. You will receive the answers in the form of silent speech. Further, you will be moved in a way which you ask to be moved, or provides insight into your question, so consider how you are being prompted to act.

If your Sphere is unbalanced and your mind is disturbed, take the time cast a Magick Circle, and purify and consecrate it as you know, in accord with a Magickal Formula consistent with your request or question. This becomes unnecessary over time, but may be necessary at times for those who have not been accomplished the Great Work of the Childe of Chesed (who Becomes exempt from ceremonial practice) and may especially be necessary for those of the First Order.

Ask one clear question at a time and wait for the answers. If the answers do not come at first, examine all of your internal and external experiences which follow (both inside and outside the Temple) as to how they relate to the question at issue.

Before asking your question, it is of the utmost importance to rightly focus the Eye on God, and set the Pentagram aright within your Sphere. If you cast a Magick Circle using a Pentagram Ritual, you will naturally do this in the process of performing the rite. Remember, the physical acts of performing a ritual simply assist the Mind in performing the necessary magickal acts which are mental in Nature. Therefore, this entire process may be accomplished without the physical acts with equal success.

Your True Heirophant, your True Initiator indwells you, and is waiting to receive your questions and initiate you in the way the Eye focuses, which focuses the Aspiration. You need no one else, and especially organized religion to assist you.

This brings us to an important part of this paper. Many who claim heirophantic positions (whether as a father, priest, rabbi or minister, etc.) simply are unaware and unqualified to perform the magickal acts they profess to perform. They simply go through the physical motions, hollow and empty, without any concept of the magickal formulae involved in their rites. Not only do they not assist, they actually “hurt” in misguiding and lulling the aspirant in a false sense of “you have accomplished this” or “you are doing enough”. This must end.

As True Aspirants of the Most High, you are encouraged to step away from organized religion and false heirophants, and look to your True Heirophant within for guidance and Initiation. You are the central actor in the great Divine drama which is your life. You already possess everything you need. You simply must learn how to use the tools you already possess, and let the Divinity within you shine through.

Your travels on the Royal Path of Initiation will be your greatest adventures of your lifetime. During the course, you will learn of, and perform and accomplish your Great Work. Seize the opportunity before you, and turn to your True Heirophant within to show you the Holy Way.
